Wonderful nature themed restaurant. High quality meals for sure. Spices feta crostini had a nice kick. Duck confi is amazing, compliments to the chef. Amazing fresh oysters and soft cheesy pizzas. Great experience.
What a fabulous experience! I had a few hours to kill before going to the airport and stumbled upon this incredible restaurant. I don't often eat out but I was absolutely blown away with the yumminess they had to offer. I dined on my own and really felt so taken care of by the manager as well as all of the staff. I highly recommend going here
If you are looking for a beautiful setting with great service and fantastic food… you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that The Village Table has it all. From the moment you walk in you feel at perfect ease surrounded by plants and cozy couch nooks, but also quite zen … well thought out attention to detail. Excellent service from our waitron who never allowed our wine glass to get empty. We ordered starters which were presented beautifully and utterly delicious… Really enjoyable and recommended highly
I don’t ever post incremental reviews but today that’s about to change! I know that I love the food here from past experiences but the vibe is incredible and the service matches both the food AND the vibe.
My first time visiting this venue after hearing so many reviews . I was pleased with the service by the staff and management who assisted to plan our managers farewell. The food was generously portioned and tasted divine.
We decided to try out The Village Table which is situated in the Pearls of Umhlanga. It was good to see strict Covid protocols in place. As we entered the restaurant, there was a Desk set up for screening and sanitising. Reminder you have to make a booking. The Friendly waitress Nomusa led us to our seat. Another friendly Waiter Siya served our table. My daughter opted for a Margherita pizza, hubby knocked of a bucket list by choosing to try the Tomahawk and I chose a Chicken Thai Red Curry. According to my daughter the pizza was lovely. Hubby enjoyed his Tomahawk and said it was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my Red Thai Curry but felt it needed more Thai flavour and it lacked a bit of salt. While we waited for our meals, i noticed the waitress constantly sanitising the tables. I had to try the salted caramel cheesecake, topped with caramel popcorn. It was delicious.
We had drinks and hubbly here, it was absolutely great the service was top tier and the hubbly was so clean and reasonably priced .would 10/10 recommendService: 5/5
Had an awesome experience, booked for 5 course dinner. Everything was Devine, from the welcome drinks...to the food...the dessert, everything was well planned. The music, the ambiance, loved the set up of restaurant everything put well together. Friendly staff... We were really taken care of, it's a must go fine dining restaurant.
The Village Table is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking restaurant I've ever been to. The interior decor is insanely incredible, the staff is neat, the food tastes surreal, like that's how incredible it is, big ups to the Chèf/s who does not always get the much deserved appreciation. I was frustrated though on my first visit here by a certain waiterwho was awfully moody and the service delivery of this place. Unfortunately for my sisters and I, a moody waiter was assigned to us. He left an awful impression and I was certain I would leave and never return there ever again because there's nothing I hate more than an rude waiter. It automatically makes me feel uncomfortable. I can bare with the food delay, but a moody waiter that hardly pays attention to a customer, I can never. But on a positive note as time went on, we asked for a change of waiters and we recieved a fantastic waiter and our day proceeded superbly. Aside from the cranky waiter and the slow service delivery, this place is pretty much 5star. That's why I recommended it to my sister to use as her babyshower venue. On the 30th of November we hosted my sisters baby shower there and everything was spectacular. From the waiter, to the phenomenal food, my goodness, I was truly suprised. It was as if someone read the previous review I had writtenthat's why i Re-Rate this place. The service delivery had improved and our food and beverages got there in time.I was truly impressed. Everything was splendid. We even over tipped the waiter because she truly deserved it for the wonderful service she provided us. I will definately be coming back here often, my birthday is fastly approaching.
An absolutely underwhelming dining experience. Completely overpriced, extremely poor service- the mains take over 60min and the manager is unconcerned with providing feedback until he is approached. All the seafood served to us was freezer burnt and their food tastes like packet or bottled sauces are being used.
