Not too bad but not up to the standard I was told it is before I join. The consultant said it is in the same standard as Virgin active Wonderpark but its not. Doesn't even have a pool, the steamroon is small. I so hope they fix a bad pothole by the entrance it's hard to see it early in the morning and late at night.
To whom this may concern, We have recently been notified by the Yoga trainer VA Roodepoort that the Yoga class is now on probation. I do feel that this is unfair as Yoga is the only class VA Horizon offers that isn't a high-intensity class or a cardio class. I also feel that the Yoga class should be moved to a later time. Both Yoga classes that this branch offers are in the morning.... when the general public is at work... obviously, attendance will be low - leading to the class being put on probation. My suggestion would be for you to move Yoga to an evening slot either early in the week Monday - as a good start to the week or later Thursday/Saturday - Ending the week off on a relaxing note. There are MORE than enough cardio and high-intensity sessions at this gym. Some of us would really like to attend Yoga at a time we can manage to attend. I feel that the branch manager should take this into consideration.
This is far the worst gym.been using it for a while because its the closest. But it is only getting worsenthere is always something broken or not working .to top it off their renovations has been on goin 4 four months. Although nobody knows what they renovating and staff have no idea when it will be conpleted. This gym is really not worth the price and inconvenience. Its been worse since loadshedding started bcoz they seem very eager to close. No backup lights Gym literally goes dark.
The gym lacks certain services like a pool, work area , wifi and there is not a variety in terms of classes/assisted training. The equipment is very old and rusty.
we pay a lot of money for this gym not to have Generator. Virgin active makes millions if not billions and yet they can't afford a generator??? Their equipment is old.
Yoga with Gloria is amazing! I look forward to every class with her! A bit bummed that there are no pilate classes.
I had a fantastic session with my new personal trainner. Worth the workout! Feels good.
Your stuff will most likely get stolen, according to the staff it happens often, in fact I suspect the staff for stealing my toiletries, flip flops, towels and clothes basically my whole gym bag. Cheaper than most Virgin Actives but has no pool, no sauna, pretty much squashed and gym equipment is old or missing this or that.
If there's no power in the evening, they won't allow you in around 6. For such a big gym not to have a generator it's a big turn off.
It's a good place to train. Patrons are very friendly. I would choose it over most virgin actives. However the mornings have become very crowded. No masks. So I have stopped going. It doesn't feel safe.
