Wensleydale Guest Lodge

Vey disappointing. Bad smell from the outside. We wanted to leave the minute we got there. The inside was not very clean. Cobb webs and lizard droppings on the bed. The smell was unbearable. We spent most of our time out. I do not recommend this place to anyone that appreciates a clean and hygienic place to stay.

Awful smells coming from the nearby dump. Dirty dishes in the cupboard. Open plan shower gets water everywhere right into our bedroom. Very unimpressedRooms: 1/5

Beautiful place, most wonderful service I've ever had at a bed and breakfast, beautiful clean rooms, the staff is amazing and so so helpful. Everything was absoulutely perfect! Such a nice, homey place to go and stay will definitely be coming back!!!!Rooms: 5/5

The place is peaceful. Ohhh the owners there are dearly friendly,the suite I was using was seriously convenient for my stay there...May they keep up the good work always...Rooms: 5/5

Unique place, with a nice theme and decor. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The cleanliness however was a bit lacking, and the beds are old. The garden is well kept.Rooms: 3/5

Lovely place. They have said they are busy with renovations, needs a little tlc on the outside. The inside is beautiful, clean and where we stayed had a shower and bath. Has a little of a farm feel and smell.

Very poor in everything,we booked a honeymoon suite and when we got there they told us it has pumbling issues and ended up in a room which had a very bad smell of carpet, a fridge with freezer full of ice and they got angry when we wanted to change the room.Very inconveniencing in the morning as we were never told that we have to drive to another lodge for breakfast.Very rude and unfriendly hosts who chased us out at 10:00 as they were saying its standard in the whole SA and forgetting that we got inconvenienced by the breakfast arrangements.This should be your last resort if you are really stranded as the condition of the rooms is very bad,the outside is very dirty,the place is not maintained in general

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few minor hiccups but they were always willing to sort it out. The pool area was lovely and we really enjoyed the suite. For a weekend away, I would definitely recommend! We also had the opportunity to see one of their other rooms and they really are immaculate with modern touches. Thank you

Wonderful,neat and private place 2 stay. Cleaning staff,Barbara and reception are wonderful. Highly recommend this place 2 anyone. Really enjoyed our stay and we be back for the 5th time
