Thorn Tree Lodge

Linen that is supposed to white is off white. Found my dishes in handbasin to be cleaned. Staff is extremely loud even if you hang on your door don't disturb sign they will still feel your door handle and speak loud outside your room. Staff is unfriendly and doesn't take pride in their work. The person who is managing this place doesn't care about customers complaints concerns have been discussed with him and he does nothing about it. The essential services staying at this lodge been told coffee, tea,sugar,soap is not for them you have to provide for yourself hand soap is not provided . Rooms get occupied for two months but you don't get the basics. I won't recommend this place to anyone as my stay was unpleasant can't believe my cup,plate spoon fork was in handbasin where there so much germs. The showers mold build up and the toilet don't have detergents to clean. Essential services is important entity of this country. The manager and staff should be send for training they have no people skills.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Adequate parking, friendly and helpful managers. Breakfast is adequate, not fabulous, but fine. A swimming pool would be a welcome addition to Thorn Tree Lodge. Good value for money, brought our Midmar team to stay, easy to get to the dam from the lodge.

The staff were really accommodating and their breakfast was beyond amazing. The rooms were very cozy and equipped with all the necessary amenities not to mention a gorgeous view. Throughly enjoyed my stay and will be looking forward to joining you guys again next time I'm staying over in PMB

This guesthouse is away from all the buzz of the city. Peaceful and neat. You have air-conditioned rooms with a TV. I would have liked a bar bridge in my room, you don't know when the hunger will strike. Lots of parking available and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Place is neat & clean, very peaceful and they have ample parking. I really had a good stay at Thorn Tree Lodge. I highly recommend it

We booked for two night place is clean and staff friendly. When we came for breakfast R80 per person only one staff member in the kitchen and no one at reception we waited 20 minutes for anybody to attened to us and had to leave having only cup of tea and yoghurt. Our son had no breakfast. The food should have been pre-made and placed on warming trays so that guests could dish up for themselves.

Lodge with spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was freshly prepared, home made muesli great. Friendly staff

I enjoyed my stay at Thorn Tree Lodge. The Delux rooms are very spacious with a comfy bed. Its nice and quiet. I will stay there again.

My husband and I spent the night at Thorn Tree Lodge when we needed to spend the night in Pietermaritzburg. The hospitality was great. The room was clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed the view as well as the relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend Thorn Tree Lodge.

Lovely, just a bit upset, because when I came back after getting dinner there was smoke in our room and when we went to the manager to ask him to move the braai to it's original place he said, "what do you expect me to do". Wasn't the kind of answer you give your guests..
