We attended a small family gathering here and it was not bad at all. Lots of space, shade and nice views of the dam / pond and animals. Nice grassy areas, well kept and maintained but bathrooms needed some TLC but perhaps because it is open to the public, it is not in the best state. Quiet, private and we had a lovely Sunday afternoon spent with friends and family.
It’s a huge park with braai place.we celebrated family get together there .kids play park, ponds and the shade of the trees make you feel comfortable in a sunny day
Tranquillity, peace, in touch with nature, just what the doctor ordered. No loud music permitted. It's safe and secured. Grounds are neat, well maintained lawn, plants, suitable for the extended family, from babies to the elderly, to enjoy. Kids play safe, all amenities are provided. The restrooms are clean, tidy and fully equipped. Playground: Safe, secure, well maintained Restrooms: Neat, tidy, enough toilet paper, soap to wash your hands, towel paper to dry off. Picnic area: Lawn is well taken care of, maintenance thereof is impressive.
It was my first time at the Wynberg Park. I have always driven passed on the M3 to and from Muizenberg to Cape Town. It always fascinated me this greenbelt that the Wynberg Park. It was an experience to eventually be at the park. Families and extended families were out for the day. I can see why families would choose Wynberg Park. There is enough space for children who do not have the space at home to run and take in nature. The pond with the fish was a gathering place for the boys. They came with bread and fed the fish. Children were playing cricket, the only thing here is that a game such as cricket should be played away from where the people were setting up their picnic. This was remedied. Music should not intrude because some people have come to the park for some quiet time from the noise of the places where they live. A great place for a braai, there are braai spots available. The magnificent trees are a blessing for shade during the sunny days. I did not move from my chair at all. We had children in our company and they loved the open space. I am definitely coming back for a picnic. Playground: Enough space for the children to play. Restrooms: They had toilets. I did not use the toilets because I did not need to Dog-friendliness: It is dog friendly. Picnic area: Braai area and enough grass covered picnic area with shady trees for those hot sunny days.
Bit of a secret place many Capetonians don't know about, especially the far side of the park which is perfect for picnics and braais and boulle and some Frisbee tossing. Great for birthdays and other celebrations
Lovely picturesque picnic and braai spot. You need to get there early to secure the best spots, especially since it is very popular for parties. Cool play areas for kids with ducks roaming around. Toilets are clean and well maintained
It is peaceful and lots of greenery, and walkways. There is clean restrooms. Overall it was a wonderfull experience. The playground is very safe. The picnic area is huge and good for socializing. It is very dog friendly and the dogs have ample enough ground to play and catch balls
Well maintained and visible security. Awesome place to spend the day with the kids. Offers play park and braai facilities. Recommend taking your own braai along for those hot busy days. Great family atmosphere and reasonably safe. On arrival please make sure you have confirmed the location of the closest toilet to your picnic spot.
Wonderful park. So many people enjoying themselves with friends and family. The Park is beautifully maintained, rolling lawns and many types of trees. There's a small stream running through with a couple of ponds. Plenty of ducks and squirrels. The squirrels can be quite bold when looking for food. Plenty of braai and picnics areas. Public toilets also.
This park exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful. Picnic and braai spots are well maintained. Great for walks. An all round winner.
