"Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital is an independent private hospital. Our vision is to provide superior patient centred care, whilst advancing towards world class clinical innovation. The hospital’s core services include cardiology, cardio thoracic surgery, spinal surgery, orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, ear-nose and throat surgery, specialist physicians and the following paediatric services – general, neurological cardiology and gastroenterology services. Our Emergency Department was upgraded in 2020 and offers a specialised resuscitation area for adult and paediatric patients, treatment rooms, a well-equipped procedure room, travel clinic and intravenous clinic."

Very satisfied with my first visit to this hospital. Traffic into the hospital was a bit of a nightmare. Was impressed with a coffee and bottle of water at Dr Thobejane's consulting rooms and the warm welcome of his staff. Very professional, well done and keep it up. It definitely was a pleasure.
I rarely ever rate anything a 5/5 but ZAH deserves it. I have gone there with my son who needed a series of surgical procedures since June 2022. The pediatric ward was clean and comfortable even during their partial renovations. All the staff members we encountered from reception to discharge time were very helpful and kind. All staff greet even on the corridors, they are exceptionally friendly. The patient hand overs from ward to operations room is very good, they will give a proper introduction and update on your condition when they leave you in the care of a different team. The series of surgeries were also successful. I literally have zero complaints.
It’s an average hospital. Admin staff were okay - nursing staff not good at administering pain meds. Coffee shops pricing is ridiculously high.
From the reception to the Dr consultation and the theatre and thereafter the ICU unit was ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS. 5 out of 5 I was then moved to the ward for my last evening. Calling the nurse seemed like an inconvenience. No air-conditioning? My suitcase was apparently also an inconvenience. BTW I did not put it there. I was moved by the hospital staff and they carried my belongings. A little bit disappointed in the service levels from the ward. It had a public hospital feel.
Zuid Afrikaans Hospital is the top hospital in South Africa. The service is excellent, friendly and efficient. The Doctors that I know is excellent, they care and walk the extra mile. The stations in wards is always friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you for caring .
Absolutely incredible hospital! I rushed to the Emergency yesterday and everyone was immediately super sweet and gentle and let me go into the triage while my partner filled out the paper work for me. They were extremely effeciant and thorough and explained every step to me and I was in and out within 2 hours. This will now be my hospital of choice!
Staying at this hospital was worth every second! All the staff and Drs are very friendly and helpful. From check-in, the reception ladies were friendly and organised, and from there on, all processes went so smooth until into the OP room. The aftercare from Nurses Marietjie de Klerk and Fanna Nkosi was so caring, and the way they treat every patient with the utmost patience myself incl. is something to admire. The food was brilliant everytime! Other hospitals can take some notes on this place. Silvino Da Silva
A really lovely hospital but the MOST HORRIBLE nurse staff. So rude and unfriendly. Also completely unwilling to assist. Trying to see my scared, sick and confused grandmother on Christmas Eve and they won’t grant me 15 minutes extra access early for visiting hours. Pretty heartless.
Best hospital I’ve ever been in. Thank you Ward B staff and high care. Dr Nel is the best doctor ever, Dr Lubbe is a magical creature and Dr Kapp is the most caring human. This team is amazing.
Excellent Hospital with parking. Lift and stairs down and back up is very confusing with no/unclear markers for EXIT. What happens in case of an urgent exit requirement?
