AAA Iowa City

Untimely. Their phone calls are continuous robots, have never spoken to a personal representative. Two separate occasions now I have had to deal with exceedingly long wait times (4 and 5 hours respectively) before I get a call back confirming which towing company is proving service, not even how long until I get the service. Honestly, just google tow centers near you and cut out this middle man. Not worth a dime

My boy friend and I both have AAA and assume that the reason we are paying for it is so that, like all other AAA users, if we get stuck on the side of the road, we won’t have to spend a large chunk of money at once to get our car towed etc. On March 17th, 2018 we were driving from Chicago to Boulder and we’re passing through I-80 near Davonport in Iowa when our car hit black ice and we spun out, hitting the guard rail multiple times before landing back in the left lane facing traffic. I called AAA and they said that there was nothing they could do for us because there was a “road ban” on that section of I-80. The police then had to call us a tow truck and it cost $400 out of pocket, in cash. Seriously wondering why we pay for AAA. Unbelievably disappointing experience.

We called by to get a free AAA state map or two and left with the most brilliant example of friendly and extremely helpful outstanding customer service. Plenty of info for our whole extended road tour. Well done AAA Iowa city!

We decided to travel out west and our AAA of Iowa City and everything we needed to better plan for a more enjoyable vacation, from Maps, two big city maps two whole books on the routes we were taking!
