Academy Sports + Outdoors

Spent about 30 minutes picking out a new shirt and shorts. After trying them on I went to the shoe dept...3rd time in and they don't have my size in stock. Go to check out and see a line at the one register that is open. Two guys yucking it up behind the big counter @ front of store. The shirt which I had purchased back during the holidays at $ 3.99 was on a display with a huge sign that said $ 16.99. The shirt rang up at $ 21.99 and the sticker on the shirt said $ 21.99. Cashier called someone and all they said was.." that sign was for shorts on display with shirts. I walked towards the door and nothing was said to stop me from leaving. My last time here..strike 3 Academy Sports is OUT !!

I really like this place. I was looking for walking/running shoes, and one of the associates walked me through the choices. They have many choices, and I bought a really nice pair of Nikes that were on sale.

Absolutely love to shopping at this Academy Sports the people are very friendly I had left a bag behind and I live so far away from it thank God for one of the managers that lives in Covington by me brought me my stuff at 11 at night that is some dedication to a job thank you so much

The only reason they lose 1 star is for taking their AR-15s off of their displays to appease the anti gun crowd. This store has an excellent selection of firearms and ammo. The people behind the counter are always a pleasure to work with. The other departments are always well stocked and things are well organized.

Great items but almost impossible to check out, 13 people in line and only one checkout counter open. The check out person said the store was trying to save money. I saw people put their items on the counter and walk out.....great way to save money!!!!!
