Acorns Resort

The cabins were very comfortable and nice. The view off the deck was beautiful! We had easy access to the water with a small swimming area. There is a 3 mile hiking trail. One thing was to keep in mind is the potential to hear noise coming from fort Riley. Loud booming that we felt inside the cabin. Our stay was overall pleasant,and I would love to come back.

Super clean and well kept cabin and facility. Nice views and atmosphere. Katie at the desk was most pleasant and helpful. We went to hike and was not disappointed with the Milford Lake area.

This place has a lot of potential but to call itself a resort is a little misleading. There are zero amenities here - no pool, wifi, cable, showers or even flush toilets. The sites were very open with no privacy and there was no shade. The cement pads were great though, very level with full hookups. They are doing a lot of construction and add-ons so I think this will be great once it's complete.

When I was at Acorns four years ago, it was first getting started. Good then, much better now. The spring fishing on Milford is outstanding.

The view off the balcony was beautiful. The facility was well-maintained, except for the dishwasher in Cabin 6. Also, there was noise from Fort Riley at night which kept me up at night and vibrated the house. It would be helpful to warn the guests of the noise before they stay. Overall, we had fun.
