Holiday Inn Express & Suites McPherson

The rooms compare quite favorably with similar hotels. In fact, in my experience, most rooms of hotels in this price range are nearly identical no matter the brand. The people at the front desk were pleasant and efficient. The room clean and the a/c worked well. There were pillows on the bed labeled firm and soft which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good, although I typically only have cereal, but the other items looked fine. The breakfast area was quite small and the hotel was full so it was difficult and sometimes impossible to find a place to sit down and have breakfast. I saw a number of people head back up to their rooms. The staff did a good job of keeping the breakfast bar stocked with the big crowd. I would guess just about any time the hotel is full seating at breakfast would be a problem. Overall, however, a nice stay.

Nice pool. Great family experience. Great breakfast. Staff very helpful. Premises VERY clean and pleasant to be around. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was renovated since my last visit and the rooms were very nice. Though, the rooms seemed quickly assembled. The bathroom handle looked like it would fall off and it wouldn't push in to lock. The tub drain stopper leaked, preventing a bath. The sink stopper was just sitting on the counter not assembled. The rest of the room was great though. However, if you're going to have your pool closed for renovations, you should probably let people know on the website because that could be one of their main reasons for staying there. Additionally, don't send people across the street to swim if that place keeps their hot tub colder than the pool and keeps office heaters plugged in next to the water. The neighboring pool was also about the same size as the hot tub. I'd rate higher if they would let people know about possible renovations because my kids were upset the whole weekend.

Was happy with my stay. The building seemed new and it was comfortable. The breakfast was good too. I'd stay here again.

Nice clean hotel in a up-and-coming community. Not a lot to eat in the surrounding area, but the hotel is relatively new. Room was good, and the bed was very comfortable.
