Salsa is really good, chunky. Just add salt to taste. Margaritas were made right and no question if alcohol was added. I had the chicken tacos, which I was happy with. My boyfriend ordered a seafood dish and decided probably not the best choice at a Mexican restaurant. We also had the chorizo appetizer. It was covered in melted cheese and was a good starter. At first the service seemed like it was going to be subpar. We requested to be seated in the back. We were the first seated in that area and soon came two other couples. I was disappointed when the server came and went to another table before us, as we were seated first and had been waiting the longest. Once our server came to our table, service after that was timely and courteous. The atmosphere was really cute, with lots of decorations and colors. But seating in the back offers a little more seclusion if you want some privacy.

Of course the quintessential Mexican experience one would expect, with simplified user friendly menu and acceptable prices. The death masks and skeletons, albeit an authentic cultural background, are a bit freakish, though, slightly overdoing the otherwise experiential interior. Very good service!!

A good place for regular Mexican fare or for a light meal. I had the Ceviche Mixto, which is supposed to be a starter but easily passed as a surprisingly good regular entree. Also delicious were my wife's fish tacos. The guy at the table next to us had a shrimp burrito, which he was raving about. Good service. Not expensive. A good location a short walk up Connecticut Avenue from Dupont Circle.
