Yum! I don't have much empanada experience to compare these by but they were good. The Chilean one was the one I tried. Really filling and cheap! We got two empanadas plus two sodas for less than $9.00. The place is NOT strictly cash only, but does have a $10 minimum for debit. Also, to clarify, it's mainly take out, but there are two tiny two-person tables inside.

Don’t let the short review fool you this is one of my favorite places to go anywhere in the DC area for food. Places like this are also the reason why I started to write about the food I get when I travel. I normally go for the chicken curry and a Peruvian beef empanadas.

This is a Washington, DC, landmark. It's been there forever and it's infinitely satisfying when you get an empanadas craving.

Thisplace told me that they sell salteñas, but what they sold me are not salteñas at all.. Sorry but the taste of the empanadas are not good at all!!
