Alick's Home Medical Equipment

I’m recovering from my second ankle surgery. I relied on Alick’s both time for my unfortunately necessary medical equipment to get around. They worked with my insurance company and even delivered the equipment to my home and made sure I had everything I needed. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. However... after this second surgery I hope I never need to call them again...lol

Submitted documents doctor ordered a wheel chair for me last year. I call nobody returns my calls. I have been there in person, to ask where is the wheel chair? They tell me waiting on my insurance company. I called my insurance company they say they do not have anything submitted to them. So I call again, transferred of course and no one picks up the phone ever!

I'm going to echo what other reviewers said about terrible communication and lack of respect. The employee managing my order to get a wheelchair never called me to update me, I had to call her after waiting two weeks. She never bothered to call the insurance company to check in on the preapproval paperwork after they didn't send it when they said they would, and when I called her again two days later to check in again, she was very rude to me on the phone and made it seem like everything was my fault. I only give two stars because the manager was helpful. It's not like I'm waiting on a pair of shoes, I'm waiting on a freaking wheelchair. Employees there should understand that they're helping people with urgent medical needs, be responsive, take initiative, and treat customers with respect.

Elizabeth at Alick's is amazing. She helped get compression gloves for my husband so quickly, when we had gotten the run-around from another place we tried to get them from. She and everyone there that I have spoken to have been very friendly, helpful and professional.
