Service: 5 stars Price: 3 stars Integrity & Ethics: 0 star I have gone here for a consultation visit on laser hair removal and electrolysis and to one appointment. My experience on the appointment has soured me so much on the place that I can't bring myself to go back. I've had considerable amounts of laser done elsewhere, so was interested in getting rid of remaining hair on legs, bikini, and underarms. During the consultation, the specialist told me we would do a mix of laser and electrolysis on my legs & bikini area to see which worked best (she believed I would still benefit more from laser). We agreed I would pay the cost of one session of laser at $190. Three weeks later at the appointment, I told her I had decided against electrolysis. She did the laser on the bikini area, and then said to me 'since we were not doing any electrolysis, we've got extra time. Would you like to do the underarms?' I declined at first, then changed my mind and said OK. The session ended and she goes to pull up my bill and says it will be $350.... $190 for bikini area and $160 for the underarms. I was really taken by surprise. I objected a lot to this because she hadn't told me when she did the underarms that I was actually incurring an additional $160 charge! Her "compromise" was that I could come back and pay it at a later date. So I rate them 0 star on integrity and ethics for tricking me into an extra $160 charge. They will provide a good service, but have no qualms over tricking you into racking up extra charges. This business has unethical practices and you should go into appointments with great caution and not let them give you anything or perform "extras" without being really clear about the costs.

I went to this place to consult about the electrolysis treatment, the specialist first spoke to me about laser beam and I try to convince myself that the laser beam treatment was better because it destroyed the hair in bigger areas in comparison of electrolysis that is hair by hair . and he told me again and again that the laser was better and that the laser treatment was cheaper. I decided to go to another place and get more information about electrolysis and of course I performed the electrolysis treatment since it is the only method that removes hair permanently and you do not have to go back and do the same treatment in the same area, the specialist of ALTERNATIVE HEALT ASSOCIATES told me that the electrolysis treatment would be painful that would not be effective and that it would take a long time, which is NOT TRUE ... I think that if you do not like doing this type of treatment, they should remove it from your website and not offer it.

I’ve seen Gillian for years; she’s wonderful and trans affirming and gives good advice on how best to take care of unwanted body and facial hair. Excellent experience.
