Anamchara Stables

My girls have been taking lessons at Anamchara for several months now and it has been a fantastic experience for them. Their confidence has grown tremendously and Catherine has been an amazing instructor. She is very patient and always pushes the girls to try more difficult things each lesson.

This is an amazing place for riders of any skill level. The lesson horses are all very athletic and well taken care of, which makes them amazing to ride! The owner Anke is a skilled and patient trainer who can teach just about anyone. There are many lesson horses and they are all lovely and unique, each one has something to teach you. This is a very special place and I consider myself lucky to have found it.

Anke B. is a phenomenal trainer. I have taken two dressage lessons with her so far, and rode her horse Epona once. Her horses are all very well trained and she has lots of experience with dressage, but she delivers information in a very non-aggressive way. I find it easy to take her advice and improve my riding ability. The barn is awesome and incredibly clean. Barn events are hosted often and include cleaning days, polo fun days, and other activities.

I've been working with Anke for a bit over a month now and I couldn't be happier. It's been 20 years since I've ridden and even then I was never taught a thing about grooming or tack; with Anke I now know the basics and continue to learn more. Thankful for her knowledge and ability to make me feel better even when I know my posting is "off". Anke is straight forward. well spoken and yet also catches the ques of when she needs to help more with a lesson.. I've ridden Luke and Katie, two completely different personalities and so amazing; I've also spent time (but not ridden) with Ceili and Roy who are wonderful beings as well. I find myself humbled at every lesson and yet always walk away smiling. If you have any doubts simply make an "appointment" for a look-see and chat for a bit. The barn is well taken care of and so are the horses; you can tell they are fed well, groomed well and loved; plus the fat barn cats are a huge bonus who tend to come running out to greet your car. Be prepared to learn how to relax but be in the charge at the same time, have a ton of fun, sweat a bit and walk away with a grin, a beaming heart and smelling like a horse..
