I love this place I just adopted Tiffani here about an week ago! The people were really kind and I adopted her in only one day! ( another animal shelter took months and I still didn't get to adopt the dog) I 100% recommend going here to find your forever friend!!

I adopted Melania (now Melony) the guinea pig from animal rescue league in Jan 2018. She was so shy and she would hide all day at the shelter (from what they told me), but ever since I adopted her I would hold her everyday, try to get her to take treats from me and I would just talk to her next to her cage. Everyday she is improving. Now she loves being picked up and will just lay on me and snuggle. She wouldn't talk at first but now shes louder than my other guinea pig phoebe. I can hear her squaking from all the way downstairs. She loves her veggies and she will stay out and eat while I'm around and she always takes treats from me now. I'm still working on her letting me pet her while she's in the cage. she's like a completely different piggie now from when I first got her. She talks and talks and runs around like a nut. She has such an amazing personality. I love her to death. My other g pig is next to her in a separate cage because they don't get along but they talk to each other through the cage sometimes. Melony was pregnant and had babies at the shelter and all of them got adopted and so did dad, but she was still there waiting for her home, I think no one Gave her a chance because she was so shy, but it's always the shy ones that have the best personalities. I think animal rescue league of Boston is a great place to find your next companion. Their staff is super nice, they take great care of the animals and they make sure they go to great homes. Melony was completely healthy and still is.

One girl was rude and would not look you in the eye. The o the was great. This is about sonny. I know animals and about adoption with or without illnesses. They need to be more respect full and l Ok people in the eye because people are educated. Oh by the way he is doing awesome and he loves his other adopted sister. Disappointing just because of the girl with the thyroid condition. She will stop people in tjrirvtracks and make you look bad. Get ride of her or train her to be respectful and to be friendly.

If you are looking to adopt call first or show up early. Most animals are adopted quickly. The ARL is run professionally with an amazing staff
