Arizona Royal Care Home

So grateful for the wonderful & competent care my mother is receiving from the entire staff at AZ Royal. We’ve never seen such a beautiful care home! We are very happy to know that security is in place at all times. My heart is at peace knowing she is safe and well cared for. My mom has been here for the past year and is the happiest she has been in years. She told me about the great food, and the friends she talked with around the big dining table. Its great that she has put on some much needed weight. Its comforting to know that loving and competent hands care for her, and that all her needs are taken care of. Corina, the RN & manager, communicates regularly & is very responsive to any questions. Every visit we’ve had has been extremely pleasant. Both inside & outdoor sitting areas are comfortable & attractive. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and loving to my mom. We are very grateful to everyone.

Please note: James G. Baker, Jr. took his OWN MOTHER to court to declare her incapacitated, and now his own mother is a ward of the state. The Royal Care Home is an unskilled GROUP HOME. Staff prop up your loved ones on a sofa who literally do nothing all day. When the TV is on (and usually its not), there is no sound. The residents stare at the multiple cameras facing them for entertainment. There are no books or magazines to read, no activities, and staff ignore the residents, spending a great deal of time on their phones. Try to keep your loved ones at home where they deserve to live out their precious time on this earth. If you cannot care for them, choose a facility that you visit at all times of the day and observe the residents. Are they medicated? Sleepy? Look at their pupils, monitor their activity, check their tongue, listen to how they speak, are their words slurred? This is telling and a facility you need to stay away from. This is a very restricted environment for the residents and one I would not recommend to anyone. Remember its not how the facility looks, its how the staff treats and respects the residents!

The review written by Claudia Baker is in my opinion false. I have visited my mother at this facility on four separate occasions. The staff has informed me that Claudia Baker has never visited her mother since admission. Claudia has apparently made it her mission to libel any facility who cares for my mother in what I feel is a misguided effort to return my mother to another sisters care. See her misguided review of Amber Creek for another example, The reality is that the Arizona Royal Care Home is a truly beautiful facility. The staff are patient and kind with the residents, and seem to truly care about the residents placed in their care. My mother seems happy and well cared for, and has gained weight since admission. She really likes the food and is a member of the "Clean Plate Club". My mother has some swallowing issues, and the staff takes the time to cut her food up for her to prevent aspiration. The facility is spotless and odor free. The doors are kept locked to protect residents who are cognitively impaired from leaving, which is just common sense. Every staff member I met spoke English very well, On one of the occasions I visited my mother, we went to a separate sitting room area to spend time, no one "monitored" our conversations. I have had conversations about this home with staff members of Childers and Coventry, a firm which specializes in being guardians and conservators for senior citizens which need that level of protection. They speak glowingly of the Arizona Royal Care Home. I am very happy that they have entrusted the care of my mother to this facility.
