We worked with Gary on a few jobs and we were initially very happy. Over time, however, he got lazier and lazier. In the interests of anonymity I will not give specific details, however, I will paint a picture of the story. The first job went very, very well. We then hired him for several additional jobs. The second job went well, but slightly less so. He loved to sit in his office and smoke cigarettes and eat donuts and chat but when it came down to getting paid thousands of dollars to make our motor-home comfortable he increasingly became lazier and unwilling to make the job right. We own a business and always try to be the perfect client, however, maybe he saw that as a weakness and thought he could focus more on other customers. He threw the last job together in a rush as he received another larger job ($10,000 +) that was a higher priority. We were incredibly insulted when during the last job he threw together scrap parts to make it work. We spent $300 for a custom installation of a component (our total job was $5,000+) that he scrapped together in a few minutes with basically duct tape and a few screws. We later had to pay someone hundreds of dollars to fix his work. We talked around and learned that we were not the only ones to complain. We learned of a few other customers who have had similar issues. Gary is much more skilled at his craft then he is at owning and operating a small business. Unfortunately, there are few other custom motor-home shops in Las Vegas to choose from. Would I go back again? Maybe, but only if I had no or few other options. Again, he is skilled at his craft but be prepared for him to poop out and throw your project together if he isn't interested in your project or if he has another bigger job roll in.
