Stay far away from B&G! Dishonest and they will overcharge you. I had a bad experience with B&G once, but gave them a second chance after a marina manager persuaded me to try them again. What a mistake. I was charged  $1800 in labor to change a fuel pump! I have done this procedure myself in less than three hours (I was too busy at the time to do it). Another marine mechanic said it should not have been more than $500.  In addition, two other boat owners in the marina that I met had similar experiences with B&G. The bottom line is that the owner is nearing retirement and think his goal is to gouge as many customers as he can before he hangs up his wrenches. I wish him luck in retirement, but not at the expense of my own retirement fund. I would suggest anyone looking for a marine mechanic look elsewhere.
