While in DC for a conference, I was looking for a new place to try close to the hotel. This place popped up on the maps and I decided to give it a try as I wasn’t that familiar with Asian fusion. The large menu was a little intimidating, but decided to try something new. So I settled on the crispy tangerine beef. I was pleasantly surprised when the meal showed up it was a generous portion and looked scrumptious. The flavors lived up to the visuals and I was treated to a nice citrus flavor with the beef. This is a great little place, with Little being a keyword. The service is pretty much digital you order and pay all from the app. Worked out well and everybody in my group was taking care of in a timely fashion. The place was good enough that I decided to come back the second day and try a different dish. I decided to try the mango chicken. Wow good, it wasn’t as flavorful as the tangerine beef from the previous day. A couple people in my party tried the General TSO chicken and it was really good. During both visits, everyone in our party, enjoyed their food, and felt like it was a good value and had excellent flavor.
Great fusion restaurant with more than fair prices. The chicken pad thai was tasty and portions were great. I wish it was it was slightly more flavorful.Food: 5/5
I love the seafood fried ragoons! Delicious food! A must try. No complaints. We went twice and we were very happy. It was a bit too hot upstairs the first time, so the second time we sat downstairs near the bar area and that felt much cooler comfortable.Food: 5/5
The food is great, the atmosphere is good, the place is cozy. Good prices. The only moment was the serving of food: I ordered the soup and the main course, when the soup was brought to me, the main course was served a minute later. If the restaurant serves a menu, serving and so on, then you need to take into account the speed of serving dishes, because it is sad to watch how the main dish cools down when you just started eating soup.
I got some appetizers and their mango sticky rice is absolutely scrumptious! I also got a grilled lemongrass chicken to go , it was tender with smoky goodness flavor and the portion of the food were generous.Food: 5/5
Pan Asian restaurant with pretty good Malaysian fare. Curry Laksa is very good but the chicken is not very tasty as it's boiled and then thrown into the Laksa so the flavor is not deep. The rest of the curry Laksa is very good. The Roti Canai appetizer is very good with fluffy pancakes and Indian potato curry sauce. The Okonomiyaki Japanese pancake is excellent. The chicken katsu is very good but the sauce is more Indian curry vs the traditional Japanese curry. The vegetable dumplings are very good pan fried. The Nasi Lemak was good but the chicken again had no flavor as it's just boiled chicken thrown into the sauce. The mango sticky rice dessert is excellent! The service is very good!
Popped in for a quick lunch. They have a large & diverse menu. Made it a bit tough to choose, but that isn't a bad thing. Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and Kimchi Tofu Stew was the perfect choice for me. The dumplings were flavorful, tender, & fresh! The stew was steamy & bubbling as it arrived at my table. Spicy, but not too spicy I ordered medium heat, it had layers of flavor with carrots, scallions, red onions, glass noodles, & cabbage from the kimchi. It was a large serving that came with a side of rice. The stew was hearty, tangy, & savory, with a little bit of sass!
I ordered based on pictures and accidentally ordered a “funky roll” and boy was it funky. Disgusting! It smelt like a fish market on a hot muggy day. It just tasted bad and was the worst sushi I’ve ever tasted. If I ever visit DC I will not be going here again.Food: 1/5
I wanted to love it. So many varieties of Asian cuisine. It fell flat. My sushi was dry and the rice was undercooked. It was flavor neutral and just lacked inspiration. The combo fried rice was okay at best. Lacking in originality and flavor. The vegetables were inconsistently cut and in some cases under cooked. It has promise. The service lacks a personal touch. Order from an app. Items missing or taking way too long for a table. Just leaves you longing for that personal touch. In a pinch, it's better than a chain. I do think supporting local businesses is completely necessary. I would go back, sample other items. But, for now, I will continue to explore.
I was greeted with a smile when I arrived. I like that. But....The rice to my sushi was a little"Tangy" like that fermented taste. I got a California roll. It just had real Crab meat in it and avocado.only I thought a California rolls had carrots and cucumber in it ? I don't know if I'll try to come back to give them redemption.
