I have many food allergies, they carefully prepared me something not on the menu to meet my needs. And the cracklings while we waited for the rest of our guest were a great change of pace over bread. Prices are a bit high, and there where zero other guests but the food was great. Hubby had pork chop and he really liked it.

Beausoleil is my favorite neighborhood, casual restaurant in Baton Rouge. The menu is always changing based on the seasons - but also features some permanent staples. The appetizers are great to share and the daily lunch specials are hard to beat. Great spot for lunch with clients and/or friends and the go-to spot for a Friday night dinner and hangout - where they have live music in the Spring and Fall!

If you have taste buds and fund yourself in Baton Rouge, you must go here. The food is just outrageously good, the cocktails as well. If you are extremely lucky, you'll have Melita taking care of you there, she and her colleagues just gild the lily on a perfect dining experience.

This rating is really a 3.5. My wife and I have been here twice, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The cocktails are very good; I especially enjoyed the Mississippi Mule. The scallops dish is excellent, but the "seared" tuna is not done very well. The tuna steak was not seasoned much, and the sear was not done at a high enough temperature. The result is a tuna steak that, even when ordered rare, comes out looking a little too grey. The white chocolate bread pudding was quite good.

Can't afford to go very often....but it is so good when we do go. So worth the price and the service is great. And the cocktails are good too.
