Random find looking on internet. Excellent Cajun food! Combo plates so you can taste your favorites. Very courteous, attentive, friendly staff. Stopped in on our way traveling through. Easy in and out. Comfortable, simple dining. Well worth the 5 mile drive off I-10.

A wonderful eatery with equally wonderful employee's. Unsure of what to order, my husband & I were patiently given descriptions of the many menu choices. We both went with a sampler combination plate with red beans, jambalaya, salad, and etoufe pies. We loved everything, it was delicious and fresh. We highly recommend this establishment, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I stopped here from Florida on our way to Texas after deciding we wanted to eat authentic Cajun food.
We were not disappointed! The employee at the register was friendly and gave great suggestions. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! If you're looking for authentic, well-prepared cajun at an affordable price, we highly recommend eating here. We will be returning!

When we first pulled up to the restaurant, I was scared I was going to be highly disappointed, but I actually was not. Food was a bit bland, but I as pleased to see some slap ya mama on the table. I had the chicken and Sausage gumbo, the flavor was missing a little seasoning, but the slap ya mama made it pleasant. I was disappointed to find only one sausage in the whole bowl of chicken, but if that’s my only complaint, hey that’s great. But overall definitely good food!

PROS: Fairly authentic Louisiana cuisine with a laid back, family atmosphere, where they will kindly bring your order to your table.
CONS: Prices are a little bit high on a few specialty items, especially when ordered individually. Combo meals are the way to go.
Bottom Line: If you're in the area and hankering for local flavors, at decent prices, with consistent quality, Rice & Roux is a good choice.
