Behavioral Health Center at EIRMC

One of our friends spent a month at Behavioral Health Center a few years ago and the staff and doctors were very patient and helpful. They were able to diagnose the problem and with counseling and medication they haven't had to go back. Mental health is a hard problem to deal with and I felt like the staff that work there genuinely care about the patients and it's not all about money.

I personally think they do a real good job at making people suicidal. They are horrible and their rules and regulations are a joke and I believe they should be shut down. They do more damage than actually helping someone who needs their help. Pos staff.

If you want to heal, do NOT come here. BHC claims to be a DBT program but I assure you, they are not. Their treatment protocol boils down to invalidating and punishing their residents, neither of which are DBT nor moral.

I personally think BHC did a great job. No, I wasn’t happy there , but I don’t think that is the point . It’s somewhere to get help, and feel safe, and whole again.. I think they did amazing with me , and the food wasn’t bad either . I never once experienced anybody being rude to me , or witnessed staff being rude to anybody else . I’m not sure if the staff had changed from previous reviews , or just got better people skills , but I would recommend BHC .

Bad treatment, undertrained staff, disrespectful to patients, and ignorant to patient rights. Worst hospital experience I’ve had.
