Benihana

I have been frequenting Benihana for years. I began visiting the Troy location approximately three years ago. The last year I have only ordered carry-out from the Troy location. I am not the one to complain; however I should not encounter a bad experience EVERY SINGLE TIME I order a carry-out! This is a complaint of two of my most recent experiences. While I was waiting for them to finish my carry-out order in March of this year, I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. I also ordered sushi (for myself and separately for my daughters whom were sitting at the tables on the side) and an order of Benihana onion soup. I was informed that I could not order soup at the bar. When our sushi came out the rolls were all on the same dish. I asked the waitress if my daughters could have plates as well. She INSTANTLY caught an attitude and the service went downhill from there (I only asked for two additional plates). After we had received horrible service and our order was ready, the male waiter asked me how was I paying and I told him that my card was on the counter and the female waitress picked it up. She accused me of being a liar. After searching all of the payment folders, they found mines WITH my credit card in it that she had picked up!! I didn’t even get an apology. I went back on 04/24/18. I asked them over the phone and reminded them when we arrived to put our sushi orders in separate containers because my daughter was on her way to work. After picking up our order we arrived at her job and the sushi was in the same container. I had to put mines on a piece of paper towel to carry home. My onion soup was broth that’s all!! It’s onion soup!! They didn’t even include the onions. I will not visit this location again!!

Stopped in for a happy hour drink and appetizer. Only one person working the bar so both drink and food orders took a while. The sushi came out within 15 minutes but the veggie tempura took almost 45 minutes. Food orders backed up quickly and we heard the wait was over an hour within 45 minutes of getting there. O the positive, the drinks were good and the bartender was friendly.

Great place! Wish they had a better parking lot, gets congested and then hard to get out of. Great food and the cooks all had a great sense of humor and really put their all into the dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and our drinks were always filled. The sherbet dessert was to die for!

Th A atmosphere was delighting. The staff made you feel like family. Very very friendly. Introduced the.selves. checked on the service. Made things right if the food was not acceptable. Very creative preparing our food in celebrating my sister's birthday. They made it very special. Thanks Haque!! I'm coming back just because and treat myself.

Extremely horrible. Our firm ordered $200.00 or more worth of food and our support staff went to pick it up, however the manager Watanna Taylor would not release it to them because it was not their credit card. I had to drive down to the restaurant to pick up the food. A complete waste of time. Not to mention, the order was incorrect, the food was cold by the time we ate it and the manager decided to get smart with me stating that I should appreciate the fact that they are trying to prevent fraud. I am filing a former complaint with this location and will never be eating here again.
