One of my favorite pages in Black Mountain! The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. I recommend the schnitzel! They have good German beers on tap, lots of interesting imported grocery items up front, and don't forget to save room for one of their super delicious desserts! The traditional German offerings like Black Forest cake and strudel are wonderful but so is the cheesecake!

Don't get me wrong this is a quaint, local, nice little restaurant. Friendly staff, and great service. That said however it isn't truly German, I ordered the German Burger which was decent but definitely not German as well as the rest of the meal. I will admit I am a bit spoiled because of my favorite German restaurant in Columbus OH which to me is the best.

Lovely cozy atmosphere. Friendly fast service. Soooo many choices of real German food. Great variety of beers and wines. Worth the trip!

The Currywurst and potatoes are fantastic. This is such a wonderful place with a great atmosphere. We stopped in on a road trip and did not regret it.
