Best Buffet. The name is very misleading. Lmao. $7.75 for lunch $9.25 for dinner. We went at around 3:30 which is when they switch from "lunch" to "dinner", so one would think they'd swap out the old food for something fresh, especially for early bird eaters. No. My husband and I both started out with a couple of potstickers and spring rolls. I snagged a small mac and cheese to try and some chow mein. The mac tasted like dusty cheese and the noodles had the consistency of snot. The chow mein tasted and felt like something clearanced out from the dollar tree. I decided to nurse some coffee and hopes that they would put out some fresher food. About halfway through my coffee I noticed something in the inside of the mug, thinking it must have just been stained from continuous coffee usage I decided to give it a small scratch only to have an abundance of old crusty coffee flake off and get stuck under my nail. Sticking to water for the rest of the evening. They finally out out some fresher food, which is no different from what is served for lunch, so if you're going to go, just save the money and do the lunch price and a decent meal was had. While my husband and our roommate finished eating and talking, I went to use the restroom. Even for a bathroom, this was too much. The sealer around the urinal of disgusting with what looks like moss starting to grow around it, crusted snot rockets flung to the mirror, walls, and even the door to leave, and the soap dispenser is gunked with old soap to where it won't dispense, missing it's top. So glad I didn't choose to check out the stall. Not exactly sure I'll be going back here again any time soon.
Food is old sometimes when they are slow in business but a lot of times like now, the food is fresh, chicken is juicy and there is a wide range of things to choose from. The lady's here are not waitresses. As this is a buffet.
Well I've driven past this place for years and finally had lunch today. If you like a limited selection of meats all different varieties of chicken that have no unique flavor profiles, then feel free to go in. You'll be able to tell the chicken apart by the different disgusting textures the breading has, but at least you can wash that down with soda from tiny little cups if you're willing to get a refill every other drink. Of course you'll have to walk through the dirty, unkempt restaurant before you even get to be disappointed by the food, so may the odds be ever in your favor.
They have a wide variety of food of a few different nationalities. Taste pretty good. Any need you have is readily taken care of. The price is reasonable & they offer a senior discount. I will return for another dinner soon. I would recommend you give it a try.
The food is good and people who work there are friendly. The other customers are always pushy and stand right behind you, as your selecting items, to rush you or they jump in front of you as your about to grab a tong or laddle to get an item. It's as if they are starving to death, want to start a physical confrontation, or go there so often and believe that you're in their home kitchen.
Food like your grandmother might make if - you had an Asian grandmother who cooked your favorite dishes. This Buffet has been in operation for quite a few years and it's apparent by it's an older booths, it's a bit outdated with classic decor, slightly stained and heavily trampled carpets that could use some refreshing and clean up... despite all of that, theis buffet serves good old-fashioned, cheap comfort food with an Asian flair. From crab puffs to battered chicken, they have something for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. You won't get much of a smile or even a friendly welcome upon entering nor will you find great service, fancy plates or tableware but what you do get is a 1970s or 1980s style, self-serve buffet where you can be left alone and disappear into the corner if you like. read a book, surf the Internet on your laptop or have a conversation with a friend. The owner is a grandmotherly type and the staff are quiet and respectful, they don't care where you sit and it is seat yourself. Dare I say, it's one of the most reasonably priced buffet deals in all of Portland area? Lunch at the time of writing this review was around $7.95 and I believe dinner is $9.95. Sometimes, the food can be a little overcooked but most of the time it is of a reasonably good quality. Buffet owners are required to keep their food extremely hot in order to combat food poisoning and other dangers as required by the health department.it's not their fault if something gets overcooked very quickly but, they do need to replace it quickly so their quality suffers. The flavors of their food are standard you won't find anything magical or daring but you will find all of the traditional things that we have all come to love in Asian Cuisine. It's great for all ages but you primarily find seniors and 30 to 50+ year old visitors. They do have a side area that you can use for banquets, birthdays or something along those lines though I suspect you would want to make a reservation for that ahead of time. Buffet includes desert and the drink is also included! Keep supporting this Buffet so they stay in business, we need more companies like this that keep their prices low. Considered going to this buffet and then going down the street to the mall for a movie, make a night or an afternoon of it!
Very pleasantly surprised by the value especially with the carry out lunch option. Paid less than $5 for a full container and being able to be in and out in under 5 minutes is great for quick transfers on the bus. A welcome option. I recommend the spicy potatoes.
Usually come here all the time great price for food. I come for the fried shrimp and tonight they were not cleaned and I'm kind of disappointed this has never happened but I normally don't look at my shrimp but it was obvious since I'm pregnant and making sure food is cooked all the way through.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed this place quiet a bit for a short time just because it was cheap and we're college students so it worked out. Always very poor service, food and decor. I found strands of jet black hair in my chicken before and pointed it out to one of the cooks I have very light blonde hair. It was obviously not mine. The lady brought the dish into the back kitchen then within seconds of me walking away it was back on the food line. This place has all negative reviews and after reading about someone seeing cockroaches I will never go back. Just thought I would share my experience also. The health inspector should probably review this place...
Do not expect much... It’s very affordable for a buffet, but only has the basics. It does, however, include free fountain drinks, soul, ice cream, and complimentary fortune cookies, haha. Avoid the bathrooms like the plague unless you REALLY have to go. The ambience is outdated, pretty plain, and kind of dirty, but it comes with the experience for a low low cost of $7.50.
