Bev's Homemade Ice Cream

Love every flavor served at Bev's! The ice cream is delicious and the price is worth it for such quality ice cream. Bev is the sweetest lady, too. The one negative thing is that the whole place smells like the nail salon chemicals from next door, so I always eat mine while walking Cary Street instead of staying inside to relax.

Okay, so I'm a Richmond local. And, everyone around Richmond knows about Bev's ice cream. Well, I guess there's one other some reservations recently, so I've been shut down. Even when it was shut down for the reservation., I thought it was closed and I was sad. Well my significant other and I were walking by Bev's the other day, and we saw that it was open so we try to go in for some nice ice cream. When we got in there are noses were filled with the smell from the next door nail salon. Imagine, eating ice cream in a restaurant that smells like nail polish. You always would suspect that one of the ice cream flavors was nail polish. It made the experience so, so horrible. I miss the old Bev, and being alone I do not like to give a Richmond staple only 3 out of 5 stars. And you know what I love them so much that I would go back for the nail polish experience, and I'll go back for the 3-star experience. Hopefully someone at Bev's reads this review and tries to assess this nail polish issue!

Bev's is never a bad idea. It's always delicious, they always have interesting special flavors available, and it's a quick, convenient stop-in in Carytown.

Ordered the banana split. It actually lacked flavor. It’s the first time I can ever remember being able to eat an entire one because they’re usually too sweet. This one wasn’t sweet enough. The fruit was fresh. The service was great!

Great homemade ice cream. Girlfriend said it was the best ice cream she's ever had. Lots of different flavors. Every one I've tried so far has been good.
