Going to the Big Apple Inn is definitely an experience. I would've missed it, but a cab driver stopped and recommended it to me when he saw me photographing Farish Street. He recommended the pig ear sandwiches, which I am a sucker for. I'd never had the pig ears prepared like they are at BAI, which is boiled instead of fried. The flavor was delicious and the price was dirt cheap. The sausage sandwiches are delicious and cheap, too. Didn't try their tamales, but they do have them.

Staff are so sweet! Food is cooked to order on a good ole flat top plus now they deliver through the Waitr app!

This is a long time Jackson restaurant that has great food and prices. They are located on historic Farish Street. They have been patronized by many local and non local celebrities including presidents.

Amazing value - about the best sliders I've ever had, for dollar fifty each. The smoked sausage and pig's ear ones are outstanding. Only had one night in town but went back for breakfast, the tamales were great as well. Seems in a really bad area but really there's no-one around other than people going here. People were really friendly the as well.
