Big Gay Ice Cream Shop

The staff here are always super friendly, but my latest visit was the best experience I've had by far. I brought my family, and the guys - one of whom was Doug himself doing a video for their latest creation - had a lot of fun helping us make our choices. Doug even offered us a sample of the Cheetos ice cream he was demoing - which sounds insane but was absolutely delicious. Seriously, if you haven't been to Big Gay, you're missing out!

A great, quick place if you're looking for some fancy soft-serve. I'll be honest, if I want "good" in the neighborhood I'll be going to Van Leeuwen, but this when I have my mid-western Dairy Queen craving. The toppings really make it what it is, and the sundaes are certainly a full serving. Small storefront so you'll most likely have to wait outside - but expect to be in and out real quick with their speedy service!

Went to try the Cheetos soft serve before it ended. Interesting flavor, it's not bad but not for me. I prefer my ice cream more sweet than salty but had to give it a try. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. There are a lot of choices to pick from.

I think Big Gay Ice cream is a bit of an overrated novelty. There's way better ice cream within walking distance of this place. And yet it's a huge tourist attraction because of it's name and theme. Which I totally support, hence why I've brought people here the last two times I was in the city. But if you want good, artisan ice cream with unique flavors you might want to look around more.

Delicious treat. I had a soft serve cone with chocolate and vanilla ice cream and chocolate dip top. They give you plenty of ice cream and it is quite good. My friend got a hot fudge sundae that was a bit skimpy, though. There was a bit of line but it is Sat night so that isn't surprising. Overall positive experience and very good ice cream cone.
