I can not believe I had to experience seeing a huge RAT here at black eyed Sally’s today at my cousins Graduation party! One of the waitresses rudely told us not to post any pictures or videos as it would ruin their reputation! They did not apologize and stated: “can you control your party because it’s just a mouse”. It was a BIG RAT! And that was absolutely unacceptable. I ate there before and had a good time but would never return after such a traumatic experience this 2nd time around. I will report this to the Department of Health.

Went for blues competition. Great atmosphere. Awesome art work and my waitress was so nice. The food was really good. Portions was a little small, but the taste made up for that. I will go again!!

Adding a review because this place has been around forever and I wonder if people sometimes forget it's there.  I've been going here & there lately at quiet times such as lunch/brunch hours.  The service sometimes seems a bit slow then, which is in part the kitchen, some may find it relaxed.  The food is still delicious, love the brisket, cheese grits, rice/beans, gumbo!  Long ago now I feel like the cornbread had pieces of corn and/or jalepeno in it, need to bring that back.  I know it's been years but I still mourn the loss of beef ribs from that menu!  Anyhow, still good, still recommended.

Not too sure if they change management for owners but the quality of the food hasn't been as well as the past couple years. But it's still a pretty good average place to go to if you're not feeling pizza or Chinese. Corn bread is amazing though

There was a rat that ran out the kitchen so big and terrible. I will be contacting the health Department. Worker was arguing with us do not go unles you want to see a rat .
