My first time at this establishment and I’m from out of town. They were moderately busy and I opted for takeout. The young lady who took my order was very curt and seemed as if I was interrupting her day. Upon completing my order I handed her a credit card to which she replied, “Cash or debit only” in a very short manor. I handed her a debit card and processed my payment. I cannot say that anyone did any one thing that was terrible in the restaurant, but I definitely didn’t feel welcome. I’m from out of town so my opinion likely doesn’t matter much, but next time I’m in town I certainly will find a different soul food restaurant to go to.

Great food, great vibe, great service.  Chicken was top notch and the sides were generously portioned.

This is the only soul food spot I go to. The staff is always friendly and kind, the portions are plenty and the food is delicious and filling. This is my go-to spot when I want to show my visiting friends good soul food. Now, I have to bring them every time they come! Kooking forward to next time.
