Cozy (but somewhat cramped on a busy day) atmosphere and a pretty good beer selection. Great local beer (although personally I was more of a fan of Ore Dock) but I can respect Blackrocks being the staple brewery of Marquette, especially seeing as almost everyone there is a walking advertisement for them.

Friendly atmosphere, good beers, would definitely stop back.
6-2-2018. Place isn't as nice as it was, beers not as good, two male bartenders going thru motions serving, not talking to customers, talking to each other and bike stuff more, left after one beer.

Do you enjoy a good time and good beer? If NOT do don't go here, there is lots of fun and super tasty beer to be had here. Stick in the mud folk are allowed but not preferred. Life's bagged is to be left at the door. Stop in and smell the hopps and barely.

As a beer snob I'm consistently impressed with Blackrocks offerings. Grand Rabbits is a favorite. When I visited the brewery I had several beers not distributed that lived up to my expectations. Coconut Brown with coffee and a NE style IPA stood out. Cute taproom with outdoor seating. Bring your own food (I suggest Thai House).

As a younger fellow, I used to visit brewpubs across the American West. Honestly, this place is hard to beat, with the vibe of a place in the Front Range or Sangre de Cristos or Cascades, but right here in my own back yard. Even though I can get 51K in cans, I still love it on tap.
