Blandwood Mansion

Stopped by around noon on a Friday. We rang the bell, asked for a tour from the fellow who answered and were very impressed. Adult price was $8. The tour comprehensive, custom, comfortable and captivating! The whole house has a lot of original pieces and excellent examples of period craftsmanship like plaster works and horsehair upholstery. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic— Overall the visit is worth WAY more than the price, DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

My sister and I took the tour earlier this month and it was one of the best tours we've been on! Our docent (Anderson I think?) was super accommodating and let us tag along on the end of the previous tour before taking us around to see what we'd missed. So much interesting info about the Moreheads and the house (which is just a really cool building with a lot of artifacts and pictures). We appreciated the info on the enslaved and the women of the house as well as the governor, we had all our questions answered with superb knowledge and good humor, and he also put up with us taking some kind of ridiculous pictures. Awesome house, really awesome guide, definitely recommended!!

A treasured piece of NC history in the middle of modern Greensboro. The staff were very knowledgeable and told us the most fascinating stories! I look forward to attending an evening event when the setting sun shines through the West wing and is reflected off mirrors outlined in gold.

Blandwood is an awesome experience. Our guide was great. Very pleased. I encourage others to visit.

Went to a wedding here, it was beautiful! Parking wasn't the best but enjoyed the wedding.
