Town Creek Indian Mound State Historic Site

I didn't really know what to expect the first time our family visited. It ended up being nice, what I consider to be a spiritual experience. It was a very tranquil visit walking around in nature looking at all the beautiful surroundings. The mound itself was very interesting to see and it makes a person wonder about the goings-on of the natives and people from that time. We were able to take lots of pictures. This site is easy to find on the map. And takes minimal effort to walk around and look at everything. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in Native history especially for those who are of native descent. Our family enjoyed it very much

Have periodically visited the site since I was eight years old. Always learn something new. Staff enthusiastic to help you have a great visit. Respects your privacy if you prefer but are ready to offer tips for an enhanced visit or even possibly some new information about the site.

We had a great time! A must see! The gentleman who works there was very informative and patient. I took my son and inlaws there from San Antonio and they loved it!

Kids Loved to see where the Indians lived and learning about their ceremonies.
