We had brought a head to these people to have it reworked and rebuilt. Our initial quote was fair and within the quotes others had given us. When we picked up the head the price was nearly doubled the price. When we asked about it, we were told they ran into some trouble and had to put more work into it than normally required. We took it back and got it installed on the car. It didn't last long. The real mechanic tore the car apart, and examined it in detail.  We found that on two of the four cylinders, the wrong valve had been installed on the exhaust port. The mechanic showed me a normal valve from our engine on the one installed. the one installed in our head was a longer. At the cost of a head, and engine block, we decide to cut our losses, and all future business with this shop.

They have done great work for the price may time for me and i love how helpful they are when you are trying  to build a new motor

Had a really positive experience at the Block & Head shop.  Fair price.  They have been able to help me out with a couple Subaru rebuilds.  I'll continue taking work back to them in the future.
