Blue Harbor Resort

We visit here yearly. It's really a great and quick getaway. All of the food in the restaurants was awesome. On our previous visits the food was just so so. The Salmon was really good. The waterpark was good but one of the young ladies at the food counter was so rude. I cannot remember her name and I should have told a manager about her behavior. The front desk attendants were also wonderful. Very accommodating and personable. The gift shop has some great finds too. I really enjoy coming here.

If you like your natural experience and luxury combined, and want to keep your kids entertained too, this is a great place. Being on the lake is so, so nice. Definitely worth it to get a room with a water view. Eating out on the restaurant deck is really wonderful, then go down the steps and walk the path along the water, or go down to the beach. If more ambitious, you can walk out to the lighthouse a bit north of the hotel, and there is a larger beach north of that past the yacht club area. Have fun!

I stayed here overnight as part of a church retreat, and I had a blast! It was clear that the staff was knowledgeable about handling large groups; everything was handled and easy. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. I was able to watch the sunrise from the fantastic view off the walking trails out in the back-an experience I'll never forget!

This is more for families with small children as opposed to those who prefer quiet. Putt putt was fun. Water park is pretty big. Tons of kids running around. Buffet breakfast is all you can eat for about 13 bucks per person. Good selection of food. Small bar area, but not bad. Boutique is nice. They have a great salon and spa. Not crazy about the sink being separate from the rest of the bathroom, more so when you are sharing the room with more family. View is beautiful, minus the power plant to the far west corner. A lot of construction in the surrounding area.

Went to the water park for the afternoon. Overall it was really nice. Warm, clean and in nice condition. It was on the smaller side but as I expected. There wasn't much for toddlers to do though; just one small slide and a couple places where water shot up. Our child enjoyed it anyways. They definitely need more tubes for the slides / lazy river. We went for the special they had for a discounted price. Otherwise I feel it would be too pricey to take a younger child.
