Bogue Chitto State Park

Really great park with lots to do. I especially like the way each part of the park is identified in google maps for easy movement thru the campgrounds. With this large a park, it's a very nice thing to use.

It was a really good park. Lots to do there. Hiking trails that are well maintained. River that you can hike along in some spots. There is a canoe & kayak rental there too. There's a spray park & water slide there too. It is all river water though. It's brown water. Was pretty disappointed with the availablity of their primitive camping sites. It appears that they only have 2 spaces total. I may be wrong but we checked it out thoroughly because we wanted to camp there. Seems very odd indeed given the fact that the park is something over 10,000 acres of land. Anyway, we had a nice day hiking. We will go back.

I love this park. Wonderful remote and wooded location. Lots of wildlife. Many of the camper spaces are very large and feel private. There are a number of small lakes and ponds for fishing. The river is terrific. There are wonderful wooded trails for walking/hiking. This is also a terrific place for cycling.

A very great family place but if your a state worker don't ask for your state discount because they don't give it anymore...!!!

Gorgeous scenery. Plenty to do. It is absolutely beautiful
