Yum! We ate here today and it was amazing! one of the best food places we stopped at during our trip to SD. The two girls working the food area were absolutely awesome. The lady running the gift shop next door is also super friendly! Next time I come to SD I will go out of my way to eat here. Try the chicken salad croissant and fried pickles!

This iconic '50s diner/drive-in looks great but is woefully understaffed with not just bad, but hostile service. Also overpriced. Don't stop unless you are OK with spending $5 on a milkshake from Softserve ice cream. Somehow the server missed my son's milkshake order. No big deal. But then 2 servers went to some lengths to explain that we had not ordered it & they had no plans to make it. I had to stand in a long line for a second time just to order the shake (on the instructions of the manager), and when it was delivered with a slam to our table, whipped cream landed in my niece's lap and in my 8-year-old son's hair. After I got done standing in line, my ice cream had turned to soup. Safe yourself some grief. Grab a photo of the place and order your food somewhere that has customer service.

A quirky stop at the crossroads. Malts were decent, onion rings good. Teenage girls running the place were polite and friendly. The gift shop is kitschy but inexpensive.
