Desperados

There were many empty tables when we arrived. We waited 25 minutes to be seated. They didn't seem too busy. The host said we needed to be a party of 5 to sit in the empty tables. The worst part of our experience was the service. Our waitress didn't really answer our questions well, had no enthusiasm, and overall didn't even look like she enjoyed her job. My burger I ordered was completely red inside and still cold. I asked for it to be cooked a little more and they used the same patty I already put mustard and ketchup on. After it was cooked, it was pretty good food! There was no apologizing for the mishap. I don't usually leave reviews for restaurants, but the place left a bad impression on me and I will not go here again even though the food was good! Change the service!!

Overall pretty good. The desperado burger with a fried egg and peanut butter was pretty solid. It was worth the price (20 bucks). Service was a little slow and food took a while to come out. I'd go back for sure.

Came here last year, had a good time and a great meal. The owner, single mom, had her 4 year old daughter be my waitress. She made my trip great. Unavailable today, but mom remembered me and that is a true test of great customer service. Dennis Brummitt Sun City, Arizona USMC

Great homemade food, quick service and a reasonably priced menu for just about everything on the menu. We liked it so much that we went both evenings we were in Hills City. Can't recommend it enough. Oh, and not a long wait time either.

Felt like a great place out of a western movie. Amazing buffalo and elk burger - one of the best things I tried in South Dakota. Great staff as well! Thanks guys!
