Dakotah Steakhouse

Beautiful restaurant! We made reservations on a Tuesday evening but it certainly wasn't necessary. Sarah was our server and she was wonderful and suffered our conversation 😉 Sarah told us it was happy hour so instead of ordering dinner (we had gotten an appetizer at Ruby House and you can read that review, boo) we ordered the braised buffalo rib. That's right, one rib and it's delicious! We ended up ordering two ribs since one was only $3! I wasn't able to finish the one but hubby was happy about that. He got a side of peanut sauce with his rib but I wasn't a fan. Oh and a bottle of The Show Malbec 😁 We also ordered a side of mushrooms which are absolutely fabulous! I should have ordered two since u didn't want to share! If we are ever in this area again this would be a definite stop!

5/12/18 6-9p The vibe in this place tonight was weird. No music or even conversation and we were in the bar area. The service was really good! With that said, the food (reason we came) was sub par. My steak was very bloody in the middle for a ‘medium’ and the fish did not have much flavor. We are afraid the Bleu cheese, added in the potatoes and dressing, was old because we both had to hurry to the restroom when arriving back at our hotel. We also ordered the sundae and received the fry bread sundae but because we already had bubble guts we are the ice cream and rushed out.

Spent some time at the bar and enjoyed the drinks. The bartender did a good job and sad very friendly. The food was top notch. The fried bread was very unique and very good! I had the 10 oz filet medium rare, and the steak was cooked perfectly. I also had the bacon wrapped asparagus, which was fantastic! The reason I gave four stars rather than five was because of the cost relative to the product. The food was good, but for this amount of money I would expect top ambiance, wine, and service.

The food is spectacular! They offer an extensive variety of west coast and South Pacific wines. The ambience is relaxing and not at all rushed. Our server, Tommy, is very attentive and professional. We chose to celebrate our anniversary here and were very pleased.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I visited SD for his birthday and to get away from the Superbowl weekend in our backyard! We went here on a recommendation from our Airbnb host during our first night - we fell in love! We LOVED the buffalo skewers with the peanut sauce. And the steaks we amazing! Definitely go here for some great food and wait staff. Our second night there, it his birthday, and it was really great as well! Our waiter was super funny and helpful. Their dessert, the flan with berries, is to die for! Definitely coming back here if we make the trip out there again!
