I moved in recently, they have all new management and team who are extremely nice and supportive of all your needs and requests. The apartments are almost brand new, very nice amenities & thick walls you won't hear neighbors, multiple pools, spa, gym, media room, social room, and very comfortable outdoor areas with new seating, bbq grills, and outdoor fireplaces. Family friendly, dog friendly, single; meet a friend. An all gated community key fobs or call box for entry with many homes having oversized garages. Walk to brand new restaurants, Dion's Pizza, Denny's, Chili's, Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A, IHOP, Blake's, and much more. Close to UNM, Airport and Highways make it easy to zip around town. You'll find in this place a happy home.
I do not even remember when the hot tub had water in it and the jets worked. Was it 3 or 4 years ago? And what is wrong with the lights? When will they be repaired? And the furniture by the pool… where are the cushions? Waiting for any reaction from the management and helping administer the business better…
Although I'm not down-playing any issues prior tenants may have had with Broadstone, I have to think they are largely self inflicted. My wife and I have had a pleasant experience with Broadstone thus far and we're over a year into our lease. We've never missed a rent payment even in spite of the website upgrade in May 2017; never had vehicles towed/booted; and never been charged extra fees at least as of yet. The staff has always treated us professionally, and we've returned the favor too. And lay off of J.P.; he spent 20 minutes helping my wife with her gym access tag. Sure it's a bummer that the pool's faulty heater led the management to close it, but I'd rather not freeze to death. I've gotten a bit upset about noisy neighbors, but calling security for a courtesy patrol did help us when we took advantage of it. The worst issue I've had living here is when my Honda Civic was stolen from inside the complex, and when I got it back from the police, my parking sticker was missing. However, unlike what others have said, one of the ladies at the office was happy to replace it for free. Remember kids, a bit of politeness goes a long way. And get this, neither we nor our guests have had our vehicles towed or booted even once! We accomplished that simply by following the VERY transparent parking policy that is delineated in the lease, as well as the handy printout they give you while verbally explaining it to you on your move-in day. UPDATE: Completed move out inspection today after cleaning the place up. We were only billed for carpet cleaning and final utilities, just as expected. We spent quite a few hours cleaning though, but hey, it paid off!
I enjoyed my year and a half living at Broadstone. I moved since my fiancé And I bought a home. Overall Broadstone is a well maintained, clean, environment with easy access to the freeway. One of the best parts about the complex is the staff. During my time at Broadstone Johnny was always warm friendly person and Julia was always incredibly helpful. Even after I moved out Julia saved the day and went out of her way to rescue a package that was accidentally shipped to my old address. Seriously she’s a life saver. Pros of living at Broadstone: Nice small gym with all the basics Nice pool/hot tub with plenty of outdoor seating Clean environment Ease of getting to the freeway The staff is seriously the best Cons: I struggled with finding uncovered parking when school was in session It’s on Gibson
Both of our cars were towed last night because they didn't have guest stickers even though we were in a guest parking spot. We pay $1600 month to live here. Everything is old and doesn't work right yet we try not to complain about it and just live with it or fix it ourselves. Well not anymore! And of you're going to tow cars without notice then you need to have a 24 hour service so we can get a guest pass when we need one.
My job moves me very frequently, so I've had a lot of experience living under various management. This was by far my least favorite and that's including the place I lived that had a 4 foot hole in the wall.... I'll start with the positive. The floor plans are nice and the buildings are pretty new. Now the negative. Honesty is very important to me and I have very little tolerance for a lack of integrity. On multiple occasions, the staff was misleading or simply downright lying. They made it abundantly clear that their only concern was money, not customer service. I met several other residents and they expressed similar concerns. To be fair, I do believe that the original person who did my contract was either fired or quit, but I wasn't very impressed with the rest of the staff either. It seems to be a culture in the office. Other negatives were that the property is loud and overpriced, but those are not as significant of a problem in my mind as the dishonesty. Side note, either the office or the hired towing agency is tow-happy, so if you have people visit, do not have them park on the property. I had a friend get towed while he was signing a lease... that's awkward...
First time living here in the Broadstone apartments It looks nice walking through at night with those lights through the park as oppose to my Eagle Ranch apartments. Diverse residents over here which is cool. I haven't checked on the gym, pool or the entertainment center yet. I will update on that. The room that I have is decent sized but smaller than the room I had in Eagle Ranch Apts. Closet is huge where I can put stuff and more stuff. The roof an extra foot taller. I guess I need to grow into 6'4 or something. The soundproofing is really awesome and sturdy. The Teens and Adults will love that!!! Bowchica Wow wow A+ on that. The shower is awesome but I thought we had a bigger tub for you know what. Toilet is small in both restrooms. I feel sorry for the bigger people since their butt may be too big. The aesthics of the living cool and huge and the cabinets are made of .......Mohagany?! Say it with people! Mohagany!!!! I'm not sure if each apartment is different. The parking seems decent but towards the night it seems hard to find. The sheds and the parking garages are full. People general complaints seems to be break-in vehicles and towing. I guess I need set up traps and post it on YouTube to make money. I'll try updating on here for further notice.
Although broadstone offers a great looking facility, their management is offensively money hungry and will charge you for anything they possibly can without hesitation. If you want to stay an extra month after your lease, they offer a month to month rate which is an increase on your normal rate by about 100 dollars PLUS a 250 month to month fee. The pool looks great until you realize it's only open for 2-3 months out of the year, they have guards patrolling and demanding to see wristbands if you lose them be prepared to pay 30 dollars each and they have a strict no alcohol policy even in non-glass containers. All that is fine, an overly aggressive management is what it is. But when move out time comes they will say you didn't return your parking passes and charge you 100 dollars even when you most certainly did return them. They will say the entire apartment needs a repaint and charge you 300 dollars for some scuffs and dirt that could be wiped clean. By the end of living there you will want to just pay their outrageous fees to finally be rid of their terrible apartments. The other reviews are not lying broadstone is awful. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I just hope this review keeps people from making a terrible mistake and signing a lease there. I'm also waiting to read their passive aggressive response to this review trying to save face.
Review below is to the Atlas company at that the Broadstone apartments use for regulating parking. 110% not happy with the situation as I was a visitor in the complex last night and had my vehicle towed! reasoning for one star rating is, no where on the premises does it give you options to park as a visitor and the only indication for no parking is under the car ports which is not where I was even parked. I also had no idea who the towing company was, or who was involved because the "property manager" so the towing place claims was NOT on site! After minuets in a panic that my vehicle could be stolen, I then find a number on the smallest sign to call the "Atlas Towing co". If parking is an issue in the complex it should be clearly stated where there is parking available for visitors. ************************* Granted no one is ever in a good mood when they have their vehicle towed for being in a "non permit" parking area. No warning, no sticker or even BOOT. Which would have been better to pay up vs towing fee. One star for having vehicles being towed throughout the night hours and forcing vehicle owners to pay an overnight fee because the office isn't open till 8am! Also, vehicle wasn't reported immediately to APD causing me to think of immediate theft. HELLO, major panic attack! *Edit in response to owner: According to Luis, the guy who picked my truck up, you do have your drivers go to my sister's apartment complex and choose two cars at random without permits. We were not parked under the car ports, so we didn't know that it was permit parking only. The signs are under the port. The reason you are getting one star is because of "random" pickups, and the fact that Luis was bragging about towing my car, and some green car from the complex. Being towed like that is neither funny nor exciting. I thought my car had been stolen. On top of it, we were charged for an overnight fee for a truck we thought was in a good parking spot because we could not pick it up because you were closed? That is $240 for each of the two cars! Of course you'd pick them up without warning, more money for you no matter how shady it is. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this practice. The review is not because I got towed, it's because your business operates in a shady way, according to your own employees. **************************** Response from the owner 2 hours ago Luisa, we don't decide what cars are towed or enforce any parking lot violations. We only tow cars at the request of the property management or the parking lot security.
I’ve lived here for 3 years, and it’s pretty chill. Love my apartment, the pool, and neighbors are great! Gym is mediocre and there is no access to the movie theater. I’ve never had any problems with maintenance or security, but the management changes every couple of months which is annoying. Parking enforcement is ruthless, but with very limited parking what can you expect. Management needs to be a little more relaxed on pool enforcement. They get mad when residents have friends over, but pay no mind to the numerous kids which have no wristbands.
