I highly recommend Kate Brooke. She is competent, thorough and a great communicator. She is your advocate and acts like it. She clearly explains options, processes, decision points including pros and cons. She is also quite funny and just a delightful person. She acted both as my real estate agent and lawyer in a new home purchase transaction and was amazing!

I first met with Kate over 2 years ago to discuss my impending "strategic" foreclosure on a rental property and my primary residence. She explained all aspects of Oregon real estate law, so I knew exactly what my leverage was. Thanks to Kate's guidance, I was able to renegotiate the loan and hold on to my rental property. More importantly, I was able to keep my primary residence and settle the second mortgage for 17% of what I owed. Now, I have "instant equity" in my primary residence. The bottom line is that meeting with Kate saved me thousands of dollars and allowed me to hold on to both properties.
