Brookland is a great neighborhood metro. Somewhat cramped, its shoved between the CSX tracks and the side of Catholic U. You'll find there's lots of foot traffic from college kids. It has a bike trail running right past the entrance, so watch out.
Good working escalators in this clean station with connection to busses in the bus bay. Right in the busy area near suburbs and a university. Some restaurants and shops are there with trains coming on time. LED overheads signs on the platform tell you when the next few trains will arrive. Not sure about the customer service but the fairgates work. Nice job on this local station WMATA.
Public parking is hard restaurants etc are very good
This station is served by the red line. It can get very busy at times. it serves the american Poetry Museum.
Its a little dirty, but every metro station is like that. Minus it being dirty and the occasional woman on crack goin crazy either in the station entrance or on the walkway floor, this metro station is pretty great. This metro is the best for you if you go to school around here.
It is a metro station just like all the others, but this one constantly has maintainence issues. Specifically, the escalator on the lower income side of the station is often turned off/ broken, where as the CUA escalator is always working.
Escalator on the CU side is out scheduled to be back within a month.
At the Metro subway station, on the 2 week of social distancing doing what's best with the mask during the virus April 2020
I have lived in this area for well over 30 years and I have seen the changes. This station has continued to be one of the better stations.
Escalators are out of service and the station managers are rude.
