Shaw-Howard U Metro Station

Story

Shaw–Howard University is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C., on the Green Line. It is also served by the Yellow Line during off-peak times. The station primarily serves the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, which also contains Howard University.LocationShaw–Howard University station is located within the neighborhood of the same name in the Northwest quadrant of the city, specifically on 7th Street between R and S Streets. It lies just outside the defined boundaries of the Shaw Historic District, which encompasses much the area to the southwest.Transit-oriented developmentWhile other stations along the stretch of the Green and Yellow Lines between Gallery Place and Fort Totten have been successful in revitalizing formerly run-down neighborhoods and accelerating the pace of gentrification, Shaw has been stagnant in comparison to other stations such as U Street or Columbia Heights. Two main projects are expected to catalyze development in the area, mainly Progression Place and CityMarket at O. The former, which will occupy the vacant land on the same block as the northern entrance, is expected to contain 115000sqft of office space (with the UNCF being the anchor tenant), 205 apartments labelled as "7th Flats," and 19000sqft of retail.

I'm sick of the metro. I add money to my card for the money to magically disappear, I try telling the station guy in the booth, he forces me to add more money onto my card to exit telling me "you don't know how the metro works" but when I asked him about all the people who jump the stall how come they're allowed but it seems like every white person is stopped and forced to pay he wouldn't answer. Smfh I'm not paying anymore then. I'll jump the stall for now on like everyone else does because the guy in the booth DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT. Idk what his job is but if it's to ensure people pay then all those employees need to get fired ASAP
I asked the station manager if I may use the restroom. I was refused. I asked if there would be a train to take care of the people who were waiting; if metro would keep the station open past 2:00am for the people who were waiting for the delayed trains, and then the metro employee presumably the station manager told his associate to close the door. Gasp! I can’t believe I was treated so rudely, and it was 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside. I will never use Metro again. Additionally, I will tell everyone who visits and everyone who lives in DC about what happened to me. Metro is an embarrassment to our nation’s capitol. Shame!
The forever living products Bright Tooth Gel, The best of its kind, I had serious Bleeding gums for years. I use several other tooth paste to no avail. I was given medications, mouth wash and many others to no good results. I was introduce to the Bright tooth gel by a friend and the very first Bright Tooth gel took away all my worries for my gums and any other mouth problems. The best Tooth Gel in the world, You can google it.
This station manager is rude. He was very disrespectful to me & my mom.
Poor station! Station managers don't assist passengers & the escalator is broken every other week! Also no elevator for disabled passengers on the R st exit
KIOSK MANAGEMENT IS NOT HELPFUL, MOSTLY RUDE. Also the yellow line is inconsistent with the exception of rush hour and you still have to wait up to twenty minutes in between trains . Sometimes yellow line NEVER ARRIVES
Perfectly serviceable DC metro stop. Has two exits one puts you at the Shaw library on R & 7th and the other puts you on 7th between T and S near The Howard Theater
Its a convient station its always clean and the station mangers are polite and helpful.
Historical Area. Past History.
A lot of beggers but very trendy multicultural.
