Buckman Veterinary Clinic

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they genuinely love each animal that comes through their door. My dog recently had a very sudden infection come on, which ultimately lead to needing to have her eye removed. Dr. Lord and Dr. Johnson helped me find a specialist who was also fantastic on their own time and were in constant communication with me. The front desk staff was always very responsive and did everything they could to squeeze Winnie in, even on busy days. Thank you guys!

I own a beautiful brown Newfoundland and she loves this place and I do too! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. I feel welcome and cared for whenever I am there. The doctors are very thorough at every visit, and incredibly patient with me and all my millions of questions. I never feel rushed or dismissed. The service has always been top notch at Buckman and they have been there for me even for last minute emergency situations. I highly recommend this clinic if you're looking for a long term clinic.

I couldn't say better things about this clinic. My dog has been a patient here for 2 years, and I have never had a bad experience. The appointments are always efficient but detailed and I have never felt rushed. They are transparent about their pricing and I have never felt pressured into anything, which really means a lot because sometimes money is tight and it is not like I don't want the best for my dog. The vet techs are SO well educated and helpful. They are prompt in responding to my emails and calls and are really helpful in making a decision on whether or not an issue is worth an appointment and some routes we could take if an appointment is not necessary. 10/10 the best vet I have ever been to, I recommend it to everyone. Not a bad word to say.

This place is amazing. We have been coming here since 2019. They have been so responsive and caring. They keep urgent care space to respond to emergencies which has been a real life saver for our two pups, literally. I cannot say enough about the consistent level of exceptional care we have received. We will never leave!

STAY AWAY! Incredibly dangerous Doctors who chose not to vaccinate my 7.5-week-old kitten despite him meeting both the age and weight requirement. Kitten now is gravely ill, and costing me hundreds in emergency vet bills and at risk of dying. I was told they mistyped the age in his records....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I called multiple vets in town who would have vaccinated my kitten regardless of age found, as long as he was over 1lb, and 6 weeks, which he is. Shame on you Buckman Vet. Shame. Shame. Shame. *update: Buckman’s response is again, inaccurate. On initial visit, the kitten was experiencing constipation, not illness and was therefore able to receive vaccinations at the time of visit. I checked this with several vets in and around Portland I’d also like to point out that his age was recorded incorrectly and a random birthday was assigned in his records which you and your staff have taken no responsibility for - this gross misjudgment of care and clerical errors led to my animal being seriously ill, endangering my other pet which now needs to be quarantined, and cost me hundreds, while also having to endure the bombardment, emotional turmoil and ZERO responsibility of the care team at Buckman Vet. I hope no other pet owner experiences what I had to endure. Negligence, unprofessionalism and lies. Shame on you, Buckman Vet.

My furry friends always get great care at Buckman. I moved recently, so the drive is a little farther for me compared to other vets, but I think they're worth the extra travel time.

Everyone there is great and even though my dog isn't the friendliest with the docs, they do their best at keeping her calm and load her up with treats to make her happy!

Carlie is the best!! She made my move to Hawaii with my German shepherd husky so painless and easy. She helped me get everything set up, all I had to do was bring the dog to the appointments to get her treatment, and Carlie did the rest. She’s always so happy and bubbly when I talk to her. Her energy is radiant and my dog absolutely loves her! We love you Carlie!! Buckman is lucky to have you!

I love Buckman Vet Clinic! I’ve been taking my dog Onyx here for several years and all of the staff have always been amazing to us. They are quick to help whenever I have an issue with his meds or anything else. They always listen to my concerns and are very thorough and attentive at appointments. My dog is very anxious at the vet and they do a great job to help him feel more comfortable. Thanks for being so wonderful!
