I reserved a truck four days prior to pick up. On the day of pick up, I waited 30 minutes to be helped, only to be told they didn't have the truck I reserved. I accepted a smaller truck; I had no choice.
When I returned the truck later that day, I again had to wait in line for 30 minutes again.
The person that helped me was great. It's not his fault, but he clearly needs support.

Ah... How to review Budget Truck? Returning to this location went fine. The (only) employee made the right noises about getting all the things I reported wrong with the truck fixed. Went pretty quick.
The truck was a leaky, glitchy, relatively new unit. Headlights were so bad that even with brights I had my wife using the car as a seeing eye dog on any road without street lights. So better than average Budget truck.
The spot where I picked up (Bellingham) was also decent (nice folks). But they had to fix 3 things before I could leave. This after passing their 10 point inspection... I assume inspection items 1 thru 7 involve not being on fire or on its side.
If Penske had not been (literally) twice the money for the same days I would have gone for it. They're the only one I'd recommend.

Cheap. Rundown rental office, staff mentioned their computers/system was having problems and running slow. Possibly understaffed. Didn't have the size of moving truck I reserved online, but got an upgrade at no additional cost. Add-on insurance expensive and waiver asks for several uncommon insurance details. Worth the price and hassle if you have time to be patient.

This location is staffed by absolute morons who seem to have no concept that their job involves major life decisions. I was lied to, almost had my life ruined and rented malfunctioning equipment that cost me extra money. I would post my full review here but Google has a character limit. Just Google Budget Truck rental review and I'm sure you'll find my full review. Do not be deceived, you are not receiving a deal. You WILL pay for it if you go with this company.

Pay attention to the reviews! They're all right. I got an email barely 24 hours before my pick up, saying my reservation was canceled. Nothing in the email explained why or gave a reason. Called this location, which I placed the reservation through, they said that the Colorado distribution center deals with all of that. Got a number for Tom, who runs the west coast distribution, and the only thing he did was say that I should've been called a couple days ago, and that I can call tomorrow to see if there's a truck available. I don't have the time to wait and see if there **might** be a truck available. I HAVE TO MOVE. This is ridiculous. I called Uhaul and they set me up with a truck within a couple of minutes. Spend the extra money and go with Uhaul.
