Cable One is the worst ISP I've ever experienced in my 23 years of life.
Growing up back home, my parents always paid for the cheapest internet because they did not feel it was a complete necessity, and even those companies were significantly less horrendous. I pay for the high speed package, and the (lack of) quality is a constant reminder that I still need to work on my anger issues. If you enjoy playing online games (even games from 2005), be prepared to have random, unplayable lag for undetermined amounts of time. If you have another choice as far as internet goes, choose the other option. These people only exist because they have no competition. In fact, a team of 6 well-trained monkeys could run Cable One and it's room temperature IQ employees out of business. I would be perplexed to learn that ANY employee of Cable One is proud to be a functioning member of that team; They probably lie to their family, saying they do something far less pathetic, like begging shirtless on street corners, or stealing from defenseless, blind elderly people. Every person whom I asked "Is Cable One any good?" prior to purchasing, always immediately began laughing.

Spotty, intermittent connection. They never provide the service they advertise but you bet they’ll always charge you. I wish I could record the times I have no service and they could just refund me. Abysmal customer service as well. If it wasn’t for the fact they have zero competition they would have been gone long ago. Data Caps should be a crime, it’s just a greedy way to make you pay more.

I could write a long winded review, but I think you can read the others. Basically, if anyone wanted to get rich in Altus, they could start their own ISP, and everyone would switch from this garbage company overnight.
EDIT- Let me clarify that I don't have any issue with any individual employees at this location, they were all nice and I don't have any bad words to speak about them. However, regardless of what the person responding to these reviews may say, DATA CAPS ARE NOT NECESSARY. They may be becoming more and more popular with ISP's, but in my case, they were simply put in place to make me pay an extra $20 and without my permission, upgrade my plan. If you have the opportunity to support a company that does not engage in these greedy practices, please use them.

I have had multiple internet services. Never in my life have I had internet go in and out so frequently. 2-3 times a week is uncalled for. I cannot wait for the day that a better cable/internet company actually gets approved in the area so cable one can realize how awful it truly is.

Just talked to the Cable One customer service and had the BEST customer service from Nicolas or "Nick"! in Joplin MO. (The Nick that has been there the longest). I called on behalf of my parents internet and phone not working. I was on the phone while he was guiding her on what to do to try to restore service. He was very helpful and worked with my mom patiently. I have never experienced such AWESOME service from any company! He provides 5 star service and he made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Thanks Nick!!!
