There is a variety of food and plenty of live entertainment/shows. The kids section has quite a few rides and the "big kids" area has an even greater selection. The many buildings display arts and crafts of all types, as well as vendors of jewelry & clothing to one of a kind crafts. There are ample vendors outdoors as well and lots of animals/livestock for kids to see. A few hours flies by with all there is to do. At the end of each night there is also a nice fireworks show.

Food and drink prices are enough alone to keep me away from the state fair. $5.00 for a 12 oz soda and $13 for a 12 oz beer!!!! Really!!! I won't go to places like this where are your number one goal is to rape the wallets of all your customers. I understand you want to make a little profit what soda should not be any more than $1.50 to $2.00. And you got to figure that most decent people can't afford your prices do to their mortgages and whatever other bills. And there's a lot of people that can't afford your prices but don't want to spend their money on those type of prizes. so there's a lot of people that could be going to your State Fair that are choosing not to because they have no money to afford your prices. So you will never see me there again.

Never been here before, but it was actually quite cheerful and lots of fun activities during that time. On every other, there are those small stalls where you can pay dollar or two to have three attempts to successfully complete a task. Food courts, gives you huge amount of low-nutrient density food to eat..well, at least for one day we can avoid being vegetarian and enjoy the moment. Not only this, but there was museum about history of dinosaurs, bungee jumping, and much more. In short, a complete package of entertainment.

Place was constantly booming with activity, yet trash was surprisingly delt with. Other than that, there's not much I can say about the state grounds. The hardware of the concert I went to was very nice? The taco trucks looked pleasing? Beer was a bit expensive, though. It was like $12 for a 12oz of industrialized beers like Blue Moon, 805, or Sierra Nevada. Good beers, but not the point.
