Camping World of Myrtle Beach

Edit: They bribe you into giving a good review at delivery. After that....you are on your own. Camping World has treated us terribly. They damaged the camper and then took it for 5 months and still didn't fix it. Then called and got nasty with me saying work orders could only be open for 8 months so we better get it fixed soon. AVOID CAMPING WORLD!! We are so excited to pickup our new toy hauler. Myrtle Beach Camping World had a great selection and the price was amazing. Justin T. was a huge help and made the entire experience run seamlessly.

Well I walked in for the first time yesterday evening about 7:04 pm. Mind you there isn’t any hrs of operation listed outside that I noticed. So I freely walked in 3 steps and was greeted with the words “We’re Closed” I will say the inside was bright, colorful and welcoming but the hired “Help” could be a bit more understanding especially when. #1 it’s your fault for not locking the door. #2. Not having operation hrs clearly displayed on the windows/doors for customers to clearly view. #3. It’s my first and possibly my last time venturing in to your store because of the unpleasantness and bluntness that I walked into. #4 Hire more customer focused and friendly employees. All this could easily have been turned around had she simply said “Welcome to Camping World” unfortunately you’ve come in just a little too late, I apologize! We’re closed and we open up at 8:00 am tomorrow. Hope to see you then. Let me see what side of the bed I wake up on tomorrow to see if I come back and advise management about it. 🤔 oh yeaaaa after checking the stock price now I understand why it’s down $20 dollars in relative short order, or $700 million dollar market capitalization loss in the last 4 months. Keep it up and you won’t see people come in your store.

Location is very close to Ocean Lakes Campground. During this visit, parking (especially handicap) was difficult and limited due to overstock of trailers for the sale they had. Store inventory was well stocked and sale price for campfire pit was good. Cashier was friendly and courteous. She even helped to carry out the campfire pit to my car.

We couldn't be happier with the service Mike Rutter gave us at Camping World. I liked that he didn't bolt out into the yard and started trying to push us over our budget. He took a moment to get what we were looking for, price range we wanted, picked out a few to show and took us out to view. The first one was exactly what we wanted. It was perfect layout and priced in the middle of our budget range. The other places took us to the far edge or a bit over our budget to squeeze every nickle. It seemed Mike and crew was more interested in what we wanted than what they could get out of us. We made the deal which included a trade in. Not too much dickering was needed and I think we both settled on a fair price so very pleased with the deal and absolutely love the new camper. If you're looking for a camper go see Mike.

Michael and Tony at Camper World in Myrtle Beach were amazing! They were so easy to work with and very helpful!! Helped us get the camper that has everything we wanted. Their attention to detail and willingness to help were top notch! Highly recommend them to any first time owners or seasoned campers!
