Melissa is an outstanding dog trainer and I highly recommend her. I searched in my area for other trainers and she, by far, was the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic person that I interviewed. Even before I adopted my rescue dog, she took the time to understand my needs and helped me select a pet even before she did any formal training. We are so thankful for Melissa! Our once overly-needy, attention seeking chocolate lab Riley is now much more manageable. He is a very high energy and anxious dog. Following Melissa’s training plan, we have structured his daily life, and thanks to routine and extra exercise, he has a much more reliable off-switch. We are even able to walk him around other dogs! I can't thank Melissa enough for working with me to help my lab mix Mazie. I called Melissa in a panic over the aggressive behavior my rescue was starting to exhibit. Melissa knew just what to do right away. She helped me learn what triggers were prompting Mazie's fearful behavior and showed me how to desensitize her to them. With Melissa's help Mazie is much less fearful and happier. Melissa is truly a professional.
